VETERANS DAY

Our Monument has been up now for 5 weeks and we just wanted to let everyone know that it is being admired by many.  A couple of weeks ago, someone told me that they were driving by and saw 5 or 6 of our active duty servicemen, in uniform, looking at the monument.  We have also heard other stories very similar to this one, of people enjoying and taking pictures.   And, if anyone has driven by after dark, the lighting on the monument makes it look absolutely grand.

The drive for the bricks are continuing and we currently have another batch being done right now, as we are having them done in batches of 43-86 since it is easier to do 2-4 rows at a time.  So, if you have put it off maybe this would be the time for maybe a Christmas Gift for someone you love.

AND, don’t forget that today, 11 November,  the Carson Valley Inn is having their annual Veterans Spaghetti Luncheon, free to veterans and 1 guest, with doors opening at 1100am and closing at 200pm.  I understand from CVI that last year they served almost 800.  This event will be in the ballroom.
